Blood Orange Strawberry Mocktail/Cocktail

This month the topic in our SOUL GOAL’S SISTERHOOD was LOVE!!!!! When I think of LOVE I think of the color red…so I decided to do something with red strawberries and blood oranges for our Sisterhood Happy Hour! You might ask, why blood oranges…to remind you that you are covered in the blood of Christ…God loved you so much He sent His one and only son to die on the cross for you my beautiful friend! Here is to LOVE!!!!!! And here is to our SisterHood Happy Hour!

BLOOD ORANGE STRAWBERRY MOCKTAIL/COCKTAIL

Ingredients:

1 Cup of Strawberries, stems removed and sliced (but save one for a pretty garnish)

1 can of grapefruit sparkling water or 1/2 cup of grapefruit juice

1/4 cup or a little less of juice from and orange or some orange juice

3 tablespoons honey

Top with Ginger Beer

OPTIONAL TOPPINGS

Sliced Strawberries

Sliced blood orange

mint leaves (IF like minty drinks muddle some of the leaves with the strawberries below)

NOW, IF ADDING SPIRITS

One shot of vodka or tequila

DIRECTIONS

In a bowl or pitcher, add together some of your fresh strawberry, your orange and grapefruit liquids, and mull everything which is basically crushing the strawberries until they are full broken down. (Add mint leaves here to if like minty flavoring).

Next add your honey and stir together well.To make your mocktail get a glass and add crushed ice and 1-2 strawberries at the bottom of the glass and muddle them down. Add your strawberry citrus mixtured over the ice But if adding spirits add your shot of vodka or tequila then add your citrus mixture. For additional garnish, add sliced strawberries, sliced blood oranges, and mint!

To make your mocktail get a glass, add crushed ice, 1-2 strawberries at the bottom of the glass, and muddle them down. Add your strawberry citrus mixture over the ice, but if adding spirits add your shot of vodka or tequila first, then add your citrus mixture. For additional garnish, add sliced strawberries, sliced blood oranges, and mint!
