Amy's September Book Review
This might be one of my favorite post each month. One because it is so EASY to write, ESPECIALLY when the books I am reviewing are awesome-which this month they are- so BONUS! And two because sometimes you guys give me suggestions and I ALWAYS love that and I promise I take you seriously! So if you have a book you think I should read, please tell me and I will try and make that happen-especially if it is fun chic lit! Wink! Wink!
This month I started off with a book actually suggested to me by one of you. I got it reluctantly, but I did and I am so glad I did! Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda by Beck Albertalli. This book is so entertaining and so fun and so what I would call normal for what is going on in a teens world! Which is why it was so perfect for me raising teens. Especially if your teens are normal, yet weird at times! I mean aren’t all teens like this? And Simon is so this! And to be able to be in his head really helped me to remember how it was to be a teen and how we thought as teenagers, which quite honestly is scary, hilarious, refreshing, sad, fun, exciting, and down right confusing! Now the main theme is how Simon is dealing with his sexuality and coming out and refreshingly his family and friends are a huge support for him. So it is not heavy and in all honestly I was very happy after reading it because it is a story of love, friendship, acceptance, and hope. Which as you all know is what I really want the world to have-hope and to know they are worthy! Simon in my book is worthy and he is loved and he is a child of God! So if you have a teen in your life, click the link and get this book! If you don’t still go get it! I promise this is a great book that leaves you happy and filled with hope!
